School transport in Pershore follows the shape of the town's own school day: regular journeys booked in advance, Enhanced DBS checked drivers, and pick-ups from Pershore and the villages that feed into it. Pershore High School is the anchor for many runs, primary pupils travel within the town and its villages, and students at Pershore College use the same arrangement for a different kind of timetable.
A Pershore run is built from the details that matter: which village the pupil starts from, which school, and what time the gates open. Wick, Pinvin, Pensham and Drakes Broughton all feed children into Pershore, and the run is sequenced so the last pick-up is not the one that makes everybody late.
Once agreed, the pattern repeats through the term. Parents and carers book with us directly, and schools arranging transport for individual pupils do the same; the driver works to the pick-up and drop-off instructions given at booking and does not change them without the booker's agreement.
Some Pershore pupils travel to special schools and specialist provision elsewhere in the county, and those journeys are arranged individually, around the pupil. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available, journeys are booked in advance like everything else, and a calm, consistent routine matters more than anything on these runs.
Sixth form and college travel points the other way: towards Worcester's colleges, and to Evesham for its schools and onward connections. Exam timetables move start times around in the summer term, and families who warn us early get the smoothest adjustments.
How we organise this work county-wide is set out on the school transport service page, and Pershore's general journeys are covered on the town page for Pershore. Down the Avon, the same pattern runs in the county city: see the Worcester school runs page.
